Below you will find some useful information about our nail treatment procedures & nail shapes.

                                                                                                     VARNISH CHANGE

A base coat is applied to prevent staining, followed by two coats of polish and a final good quality top coat to prolong the life of your polish.  Your polish may be removed and re-applied as frequently as you require.   Please note: … if you have nail extensions and wish to remove your polish at home, ALWAYS use a non-acetone varnish remover.  ACETONE REMOVERS WILL DISSOLVE YOUR NAIL EXTENSIONS.

FILE & PAINT

A mini manicure which includes; nail shaping, a light buff & a polish of your choice (excluding French).

MANICURE

A manicure consists of a nail shape, a five minute hand soak to soften cuticles, cleanse skin and nails using cuticle massage cream, cuticle removal work, buff & polish of your choice.

FIBREGLASS & SILK NAIL EXTENSIONS

Fibreglass/Silk nails are the kindest product for your nails ~ pure resin is used to achieve a totally natural look.  Natural nails are prepped, cuticles are pushed back, the free edge is shaped and taken down to approx 1 mm and the surface shine of the natural nail is removed with a buffer.  Tips are sized and applied using glue.  Each nail is coated with resin and a spray activator.  Fibreglass or silk fabric is then cut to size and smoothed onto each nail and a further 2 applications of resin & activator spray is applied.  Nails are then filed to your preferred shape, buffed, top coated and oiled.  Be sure to book your maintenance/infill appointment when your extensions have been applied.  This is important to prolong the life of your new nails and keep them looking good.

SPECIAL OCCASION EXTENSIONS

Ideal for that "Special Occasion" like a wedding or a party, short term white French tip extensions. Natural nails are prepped, cuticles are pushed back, the free edge is shaped and taken down to approx 1 mm and the surface shine of the natural nail is removed with a buffer. Tips are sized and applied using glue, the tips are then filed to your preferred shape, buffed, top coated and oiled. The nails should last approximately 3-4 days and is a great way to have fabulous looking nails for a small cost and a short time.

INFILLS/MAINTENANCE

We suggest you have regular maintenance/infills every 2 weeks to keep your nail enhancements looking as good as new.  You will be able to discuss how your nails have been and should see a noticeable gap where your natural nail has grown.  Any tips with severe lifting that cannot be saved will be removed and any missing nails will have the tips re-applied.  The length of the nails will be taken down to the original recommendation to prevent breaking or lifting.  The fibreglass/silk on the nails will be filed down and tidied.  Any lifting will be filed away and filled in (with the exception of severe lifting).  The nails will then be buffed, top coated and oiled to look as good as new!

“SOAK OFF” - NAIL EXTENSION REMOVAL

If you decide you no longer want to wear your nail extensions they can be removed using acetone, which dissolves the fibreglass/silk nails.  Any varnish is removed and fingertips are  wrapped in an acetone solution.  The solution is left to soak for 15-20 minutes until the product debris has dissolved.  A  mini manicure is performed to ensure the hands are in a good moisturised condition. 

Never attempt to remove nail extensions yourself as this will damage your natural nails.  Always make an appointment with your Nail Technician to have them removed professionally & correctly.  If a new set of tips are required, then the "soak off" price is halved. 

NATURAL WRAPS

If you already have length to your natural nail and do not need nail enhancements but would benefit from some added strength; why not try a “natural wrap”.  The procedure is as the Nail Extensions but without the tips.   Fibreglass or silk fabric is cut to size and smoothed onto each nail.  Resin & activator spray is applied to add strength, nails are then filed to your preferred shape, buffed & finished & a top coat is added.  Regular maintenance/infill appointments are advised as with nail extensions.

NAIL ART
